Whose fault is it?

Lots of timely, sharp articles being written on influencers, a term I absolutely regret transitioned from a marketing buzzword into the mainstream lexicon.

One of the best outcomes of living in a world that mistakes ‘influence’ for media is that we’re giving a closer look at the lives of people who go all-in on becoming their own lifestyle brand. Rather than blame a teenager or young 20-something for seeing a mirage of opportunity where none exists, these articles all seem to look at how badly the past ten years of leadership failed millennials and Gen Z.

Nice to see Vox writing paragraphs and making points like the one below. (Emphasis mine.)
